sites, our Environmental Management System (EMS) sets rigorous
objectives and targets. The aims of Byzak's EMS are:

minimise the environmental impact of any project in which Byzak
is involved
To put
by-products and waste materials to further use, wherever
possible, and to handle them sensitively and in an appropriate
manner
To adopt an
all - embracing approach in preventing pollution of the
environment
To give
immediate access to appropriate remedial measures in the event
of pollution occurring, through whatever cause
To achieve
continual improvements in performance (the EMS has been
certified to ISO 14001).
To minimise
our clients' exposure to risk and adverse publicity, and any
financial penalty that ensues
Byzak's EMS is certified to the international standard ISO 14001.
Scope of certificate is "Civil engineering and construction,
specialist electrical, mechanical process installation"
Integrated safety, health and environment (SHE) systems
Byzak's environmental management system has been fully integrated
with the health and safety systems (certified to OHSAS 18001) and
are administered by Byzak's specialist and professionally qualified
SHE Department headed by SHE Manager Linda Kenyon.
