Schemes undertaken in urban environments and city centre locations require careful consideration of public safety, traffic management, interfaces with statutory undertakers, and recognition of customer care and liaison for accommodating residential and commercial interests.

Byzak has carried out major projects in Newcastle city centre for natural stone paving and new street furniture. A £2m highways maintenance contract included bridge-deck waterproofing, concrete repairs and barrier installations to the city’s central motorway, the A167(M). In Birkenhead, the historic culvert in the Sir Joseph Paxton designed Grade I listed Birkenhead Park was renovated using a cured-in-place polyester liner.
