general plant

The Byzak Plant Division, based in Burscough, Lancashire, operates from a 1.7Ha yard which includes 1800m2 of fully serviced workshops and offices. The division has extensive capabilities in the area of plant and equipment. This capacity has been extended by recent major investments with the purchase of new cranes, excavators and generators.

As part of our company-wide policy of minimising impacts made on the environment, all the machines are fitted with the very latest fuel-efficient diesel engines. The cranes and excavators have long life hydraulic systems, both of which increase the number of working hours between services, and minimising the volume of waste produced. The generators are fitted with super silenced canopies, which incorporate a spill tray to collect any oil, fuel or water leaks.

Examples of some of Byzak's current fleet include:

Six 360° tracked Volvo excavators
Four 40 tonne telescopic track Sennebogen hydraulic cranes
Roadheaders and Backhoes
Generators
Compressors

The Division provides plant maintenance, services overhauls and develops tunnel boring machines, this is carried out by fully trained, experienced personnel. The provision of company vehicles and site transportation is also managed from the Burscough offices.
