Byzak has expertise in mechanised tunnelling, remote controlled pipejacking and microtunnelling, and maintains a range of specialist equipment for bores 60mm to 3.35m diameter for use in all types of ground conditions. In addition equipment is available for rental from the base at Burscough together with the full range of specialist ancillary support equipment.
Microtunnelling and Remote Controlled Pipejacking
Byzak offers the most comprehensive range of equipment in the United Kingdom. Herrenknecht full face remote controlled machines for pipes sizes 675mm to 2400mm diameter. Full rock excavation capability with all machines. Machines for Pipe diameters and above have tunnel face access.
Separation Plants
A range of sophisticated plants, incorporating primary screens, hydrocyclones, centrifuges, polymer mixing and dosing equipment for maintaining closed loop slurry systems. Specialist personnel are available for slurry management.
Mechanised Tunnelling
Byzak has a range of both open faced tunnelling machines (roadheaders and backhoes) and closed faced earth pressure balance (EPB) machines suitable for precast concrete segmental tunnel linings and pipejacking.
Ancillary Equipment
Hand shields, locomotives, cranes, gantries, generators, power packs, heavy duty cylinders and jacking frames are available together with other associated pipejacking and tunnelling equipment.
